The recent TIME cover entitled "The Poisoning Of An American City" is a stark visual that embodies the horror that is the Flint Water Crisis here in the USA. With a heavy heart, I'm writing this article with the intention of bringing an awareness about this crisis that most of mainstream media is not. Please take a moment to read this article here by Michael Moore entitled, 10 Things They Won't Tell You About The Flint Water Tragedy. But I Will. When you first learn of such horrible events happening, one of the first questions that pops into most people's minds is, "How can I help?" Because of the nature of this event, and the betrayal that occurred by the government officials in the state of Michigan, folks just want to be able to donate and volunteer to reliable sources. Here is a news article that lists where people who want to help volunteer and donate water can go: click HERE. |
Now, recently, there was a lot of buzz about Michael Moore's letter about the people of Flint needing a revolt more than bottled water (click HERE to read). I share his thoughts on the issue while also encouraging people to still donate your time and water to help the residents of Flint, MI. Water is needed and appreciated but with residents still being charged for poisoned water and residents still finding lead in their water even with filters given by the city, I know it's time for people to start protesting and demanding justice until this is resolved once and for all. |
